Testing GMAT Functions

Postby shughes » Thu Jun 12, 2008 3:11 pm

This is a thread to discuss testing GMAT functions implementation.

We have several categories of tests to perform:
--I/O Functionality
--Internal operations
--Global objects
--Matlab calls
--Plots and Reports
--Recursive functions

If I am not mistaken, the test scripts are written for the first 5 test types, but we need Recursive Function tests written and Validation tests written. Edwin Is this correct?

We need to discuss how we will start performing these tests. Linda, Wendy, and Edwin... what is your opinion on this?

Should Linda and Wendy start performing these tests as part of integration testing. Or should we start including these tests in the system test suite?

Yup Recursive and Validation tests need to be created.

Output functionality could also use some more tests.

It seems like Linda and Wendy have a bunch of scripts/tests they use that would be nice to have in the system tests. I can try and look through those files and see if I can fit them into the System Tests folder.

Right now I don't think most of the Function system tests that I created will run due to the issues we talked about on 6/12/2008.
